1 Introduction

Welcome to Myron, an aide to Algebra, Calculus and Linear Algebra. Myron makes you an integral part of a mathematical system – you make the decisions and Myron does the work.

Myron runs on many platforms. Although Myron works just fine on Android devices with smaller screens, it was really designed with tablets in mind. Myron also runs on desktop computers: Windows, Mac, Linux and, of course, Windows tablets.

Through a “human-in-the-middle” interface, Myron performs symbolic manipulation[1] to transform algebraic expressions. Using transformations[2] taken from a large set of mathematical ideas, Myron lets you explore mathematics as if you were using pencil and paper, but is faster, easier and less likely to make a mathematical mistake.

Read on (or touch "Setting Up") to learn more about Myron. To dismiss this help screen, touch the Myron icon twice to get back to the algebra workspace.
